The Centre for State-Subsidised Housing Construction grants state subsidies and financial support for housing and construction. Nearly one-third of Finland’s housing stock has been built with state support.

News
The Centre for State-Subsidised Housing Construction will begin operations on 1 March 2025, marking the end of Ara as an independent agency. Its responsibilities will transfer to the new Centre operating under the Ministry of the Environment. As part of this transition, Ara’s website has already been replaced with the new varke.fi website.
